SERVICES FOR PA46 AIRCRAFT FOR OVER 36 YEARS!
Kevin Mead has been providing technical support for the PA46 fleet since the first Malibu rolled off Piper’s assembly line in 1984.
After having worked for Piper Service Centers on both coasts, he founded Mead Aircraft Services in 1998, dedicating it exclusively to the support of PA46 aircraft. Mead Aircraft has performed everything from incidental maintenance, modifications, engine repairs and replacement, major airframe repairs, annual and pre-purchase inspections, expert testimony, consultation with insurance companies, and emergency road service from our base in Overland Park, Kansas. (Formerly located in Hutchinson, KS)
Kevin comes from a long line of aviation enthusiasts. He developed his love for aircraft maintenance and learned to fly while working alongside his father at Mead Flying Service in Lyons, Kansas. He has worked on a wide variety of aircraft over the course of his 36-year career but has specialized in the PA46 since 1984. After stints as Director of Maintenance for shops on both coasts, Kevin founded Mead Aircraft Services, Inc in 1998. He has been the technical advisor for the MMOPA, an advocacy group for PA46 owners, since 1990, and has lectured widely in the US and Europe on PA46 maintenance topics. He has authored articles for the MMOPA Magazine, Pipers Magazine, and PA31 Magazine.
Kevin truly enjoys sharing his depth of knowledge, expertise, and love of these aircraft by teaching maintenance training seminars, and through public speaking engagements for aircraft owners, pilots, and mechanics. Look for upcoming speaking engagements in our News and Blog sections!
